Wednesday 15th December couldn't come quick enough for me - I FINALLY HAD BLOODY TICKETS TO THE BEST TICKET IN TOWN!! - GREEN DAY.
Went with a mate of mine. I did not think it would happen but it ended up happening and it totally blew me away.
Chemical Romance and Jimmy Eat World at the begining but at 8:30 the fun really started. Billie Joe, Tre' and Mike came out to the stage everyone was screaming and shouting "Green Day, Green Day!!". They started of with American Idiot. Billie Joe looked totally sick - he was wearing all black with a red tie, totally buzzed.
The stage was mad, two huge banners with the Geen Day symbol, four huge massive video screens, lights, lights, lights, amazing fireworks at the end of the concert. The stadium went nuts, people were screaming and singing along: "Don't wanna be an american idiot!!"
There were heaps of people in the mosh pit. Even though I wanted to be in there I wasn't (but I will be next concert - even if I have to sleep at the ground!!)
They went on to sing Jesus Of Suburbia, Holiday, We Are The waiting, St. Jimmy, Longview, Hitchin' a Ride, Brain Stew, Basket Case, King for a Day/Shout, Wake Me Up When September Ends, Minority, Boulevard Of Broken Dreams and Time Of Your Life (Good Riddance).
During the middle of the concert they chose people to play the guitars and the drums. One boy got to keep the guitar (Billie Joe's). Totally mad! And the boy playing the drums got to do a stage leap.
I had the time of my life. It was totally sick. Can't wait to go to the next one. =) GREENDAY ROCKS!
