Watch The Saints Are Coming
The Saints Are Coming is a collaboration between Green Day and rock legend U2. The song came about as a campaign for the Edge's (U2) convention called Music Rising, An Instrument Replacement fund for musicians of the Gulf Coast (victims of Hurricane Katrina). Green Day and U2 performed the song for the kickoff of the re-opening of the Superdome (New Orleans' football stadium) in September 2006. The music video was created by a group called SWAY, and the Green Day appearances in the video were recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London.
This is awesome. U2 Was the band I was raised on. Green Day is one of my favorite bands. Puting the two together was a great idea.

wow. i was there at the New Orleans Superdome when they first performed this song live. it was, if possible, even better than this. i can't believe almost two years has passed since Hurricane Katrina came and hit here. thanks for putting this up.
