lost time, regrets
letting people down,
committing selfish deeds
alone in a dark room
surrounded by “concerned” voices
Out of the dark,
i see your face, mad with tears
i did this to you, i did this to me
I’ve forgotten all that we had
all those times we laughed together,
all those times i held you close
and now you don’t even want to look at me
it hurts more each day,
the empty space you left
stinging & burning more than the marks left on my wrists.
the hardest part is knowing its all my fault
with one swift motion,
i failed to end it. (is that what i always wanted?)
it's odd that out of it all, what destroyed us both,
was meant to fix everything.
