The sister of a Marine.
That can be quite scary.
My brother was always the class clown. The kid who slept til 5 PM. The kid who was friends with everybody. The lazy one.
My brother enlisted in the marines during his junior year of college. He went to boot camp the day after Christmas. He recently graduated and is in another training area.
Of course,he is in the 'big dogs' of the military. He honors his country, and quite frankly,I couldn't be happier or prouder for him.
But the scary thing is,what happens when he is deployed.
He could die. This is the scariest thing to think about. I feel guilty because I don't want him to go,but he's one of the few.The Proud.
I'm so proud. It worries me,but,I love him nonetheless.
I really don't expect much from this blog, but I wanted to get it out.
Thank you.

I think that's amazing of him, and I hate it when people criticize the soldiers. It's not their war, it's the president's war, they're just doing the dirty work.
And to some degree, I know what you're going through. My brother is a volunteer firefighter, and yeah, sometimes it's really terrifying.
I wish you and your family well. I'm sure he'll be just fine ( =

I support him. I'd never show him the cold shoulder. But thanks. :]

I completely understand that you're worried. I would be too. You still should support him because it's his decision and it makes him happy. And with the support of his family he'll be strong.
*hugs* Good luck and all the best. I'm sure he'll be fine. Maybe he won't get deployed.
