Amazing Food Fact - Dieting and/or Healthier Eating
There are actually some foods (fruits and vegetables) which techinically have a Negative Calorie Count
I already knew a couple of them, and I knew that they are negative calorie because of the high cellulose content. Cellulose is something I don't know an awful lot about, but I do know that your body uses up more calories digesting it than you gain from eating it!
These would go perfectly alongside fatty or unhealthy foods, and get rid of that guilty feeling you feel when you overeat, or eat junk food.
These foods include:
Vegetables
Asparagus
Beet Root
Broccoli
Cabbage
Carrot
Cauliflower
Celery
Chicory
Hot Chili
Cucumber
Garden cress
Garlic
Green Beans
Lettuce
Onion
Radish
Spinach
Turnip
Zucchini
Fruits
Apple
Cranberry
Grapefruit
Lemon/Lime
Mango
Orange
Papaya
Pineapple
Raspberry
Strawberry
Tangerine
I got this list off of Ana's Underground Grotto, Know Thine Enemy food page.
Be warned - its a PRO-ANA website, and I was only there because I was looking for Negative Calorie Count Foods.
Afterthought - You never see an overweight vegetarian. Red meats can make you more suseptable to cancers, I read it in a book of food facts. A vegetarian diet is healthier, because most vegetarians do food research as it is seen as lacking in the vitamins and such that you get in meat. Don't think so, you can get them eslewhere, quite easily.

I don't diet, I just revaluate my eating. Instead of eating crisps and sweets i will have fruit or a handfull of nuts which is high on protein, and I have deserts once a week along with a bar of chocolate.

The meat and cancer thing is only true if you eat meat almost every day of your life.
Eating a piece of organic lean steak once a week is actually good for you, besides, last time I checked, humans were naturally omivores. We just have the power of choice, unlike most animals.
I have nothing against vegitarians, but this is ridiculous. The meat-cancer thing is a stupid scare tactic. Not many non-vegitarian people eat fatty meats every day of their life, which is the only way I know you can get cancer from eating meat.

I agree with Kurtni.
And it's true, there is no such thing as negative calorie foods. I've researched it before because there was a big craze about it at my school last year, and the whole thing is a hoax. But, I'm not saying that eating those foods aren't healthy. =]

Yes, their are overweight vegitarians. Its extremely easy to overeat on a vegetarian diet, meat isn't the only unhealthy food. There is no such thing as negative calorie food. Every single thing you eat has to have calories, and simply chewing food doesn't burn them all, thats some stupid rumor that ana sites started. The majority of the foods on that list actually have quite a few calories. If you eat only those foods, you'll get sick. It isnt a balanced diet and sites that promote diets like that are disgusting
