Bisexuality.
Today.. It seems like everyone is bisexual. I’ve seen 12 year olds, and actually have met, 12 year old girls saying they are bisexual. It seems with the media and all, Bisexuality is a trend.
It hurts me that my sexuality, Is a trend, So I don't get taken seriously. I remember, I had a girlfriend. She told me she was bisexual. I found out that she didn't want a relationship with me, She only wanted to kiss and make out. She knew nothing of having a real, A genuine, relationship.
I feel like today, Teenagers and young adults take their sexuality very, very un-seriously. It's one of the only things I don't joke, make fun of, Sexualities . I belive it's a very serious deal.
I don't think a lot of people know what Bisexual is. Bisexuality is different from being bi-curious. Bi-curious is were your attracted to members of the opposite sex, but you don't know if you want a genuine relationship with them.
Bisexuality is where you are attracted to both sexes, and look for relationships. Real, functioning, Dates-flowers-candy-movies relationships.
I just thought I should express something on this because I'm tired of my sexuality being a joke and a trend.

At my school, you get bashed for being bi/gay/lesbian. People are too afraid at my school. They use it against you and to insult you. It's really pathetic. -__-
I'm straight, but I support bi/gay/lesbians 100%. :]

i agree with you 100%
i remember my friend Maddy saying this once, that 90% of people claiming to be bi, are actually either straight or gay. That might be true...but i dont think its such a high percentage...
i personaly think i'm bi, 'cause i actually feel thats true and that who i am, and i think its stupid, you know, making this a trend.

I... don't know, really. There are a couple of girls I could actually see myself dating, but others I just think are attractive. So what would you say that makes me?

I agree. I don't understand why anyone would lie about their sexuality like that. I say I'm bisexual. Honestly, I'm pansexual, but no one knows what that means.

When you look at the 1990s, sexuality was something that wasn't discussed, despite all the activism, no one spoke out on homophobia. Now, times are changing. It hasn't become a trend, its become acceptable for people to express themselves in that way. If the "average" 12 year old girl can find boys cute, why can't she be attracted to girls? Before, she would have been ridiculed for saying such things. Now, people are becoming more accepting. So obviously we're going to hear more about it.

yeah i agree. coz im 16, apparently i cant know that im bi. i knew since i was 14, sort of.
girls are sexy and guys are sexy. i would go out with whoever. that makes perfect sense to me. =D the fake bi pisses me off. my frend didnt really know, she either says straight or bi... she only has boyfriends but does fancy girls...
well anyways she was talking to a girl who SAID she was bi, this is aged 15, and they made out and my frend was thinking hmm that was different and turns out the girl was lying, she was just experimenting too. she could of least just admitted it...
its not such a thing to lie about... coz i feel like the world thinks im lying... =[
hmms...

thats so very true and i agree
when I was 13 i considered myself bisexual
but later i relised i had a fear of boobs [[dont ask rotl]]
and also i was an awful girlfriend
part of that was due to being young and curios and inexpreiced
but also now i reselied I never wanted to date a girl, as awful as that sounds I just dont
im all for homosexuality
but yeah, i think your right I just find some females attractive and may if i was drunk go as far to kiss them
but nothing more
a great blog x

*agrees strongly*
there's been a time when it was "cool to be gay",
and now bi-sexuality seems to be the new "it" trend.
not saying that you dont know your sexuality,
or the other people who actually ARE bi,
it's just annoying.
I have a friend who called herself bi,
and she was going through a lot of changes...believe me, a lot.
And now people at my school get bashed, (yes seriously) bashed for not being straight.
Don't worry, it will move on.
*pets and hugs*

Agreed.
People at my school are always like, "Oh I'm bisexual".
It's really frustrating.
._.
I'm a straight 12 year old.

I know.
I agree 100%
I told my friend I was Bi sexual because me and this girl both had feelings for each other. I wanted to tell my friend before I started "going out" with her.
And she was like 'Omg! Me too!' and she went around telling everyone that she was Bi.
Sometimes people do it for attention.
Now, I think I'm just Bi curious.

Very true.
It's good that many teenagers today are finding their true sexuality and not being afraid to say it. But with this comes a trend of doing it, with some people expressing it in order to feel different.

I agree with you.
