It certinly has come a long way, hasn't it?
Four years of tweaks and do-overs, and Dujo and the GSB team have this to show.
Well,
It rocks.
I joined back on May 2nd, 2005 with the name GreenDayBrat66. I had no idea what to do, so, I just clicked around. I read the bios, the stories, the journals, made my own GSB - It was all so personal. It felt like home :]
I went through name changes and found my place on GSB, the homely feeling enough to capture anyone from the smallest Green Day fan to the biggest anti-fan. I was an addict.
One day, Dujo announced that in two weeks, a new GSB would arrive. I was excited and frightened at the same time; How different would the site be? Would I like it? Would I lose my friends? Would it follow in the footsteps of the previous sites...?
It was a long two weeks, and during which, journals and stories were transfered to Mibba.com. This scared the crap out of me. I was a journal whore. I visited GSB souly for the journals and the friends I made in them(seeing as I had already read and re-read the articles & info, I had nothing better to do).
So I registered on Mibba. I thought, this isn't too bad. And then-
KABOOM
New GSB had arrived. The first day I was literally ready to leave the site I had now been on for a year and a half, but, for lack of better words, I opted to give it a chance. I mean, I gave Mibba a chance, right?
I must say, I'm glad I didn't leave. It is HOLY CRAP awesome. It has so much more information, so many new and better things.
And I'm proud to say that GSB is still my home away from home :]

Ah, so true.
I'm glad you decided to stay. And everyone else, too. The people who left really didn't give the new GSB a chance.
I love it. :] It's home already.

As for the new GSB.... Well... Its f*cking amazing!

The new GSB is amazing, I agree.
The Drummer:Nice blogging, my friend. I thought this was going to be one of those stupid complaint journals saying how much Dujo and GSB sucks.
If someone makes a blog like that, a pointless spammy one, they get banned from this section, so don't worry about having to sift through those to find real blogs.

Yeah, it is great. I joined May 20th of '05, not much longer after you. It IS like a second home - and I agree, I was on GSB all for the journals.
It's pretty kickass over here, too. I love it! The Blogs and the Blah Blahs, and... everything. I still miss the omGSB's, but it's all good here.
