Heroes Never Live Long.

There are so many great musicians who died too young. Even Mozart should've lived to at least 50. Think Kurt Cobain. Think John Lennon. (especially John Lennon) It seems that whenever we get a hero, they die. This seems incredibly unfair. How often do you get a man like John Lennon? But with the bang of a shotgun, we're all alone again. You may not know your hero personally, but whether it's Gerard Way or Björk, you do feel like you do have some personal connection. So when we lose our heroes, it's like losing a friend. And you never got to meet Kurt Cobain.

Freddie Mercury, singer of Queen, was born September 5, 1946 and died November 24, 1991 of bronchial pneumonia resulting from AIDS. It had only been 24 hours since he announced to the worls that he had AIDS.

John Lennon, lead guitar and vocalist of The Beatles, solo artist, and peace activist was born October 9, 1940 and died December 8, 1980 after being shot 5 times by a deranged fan. If he were alive today, the world would be a much better place. His music and activism continues to influence even the most punk rock of bands.

Kurt Cobain, singer and guitarist of Nirvana was born February 20, 1967, and died April 5, 1994 after shooting himself in the mouth. Nirvana broke grunge, and set the stage for Green Day to make an appearance.

If these people had never died, who knows how the world could be better? (would some of our favorite bands even exist?)
