A picture can speak a thousand words.

Has anyone realised what our sense of sight can convey to our mind without us reading a description of the picture?

Certain images can make us believe things, or make us feel things.

Take a look at this picture.
This is called the Tree God, by *MarcAdmus from Deveinatart.com(If you're on that site check his stuff out!)
ImageWhat do you see in it?
What I see is the raw power of nature, something which appears to be easily bowled over by what we call "civilisation", but is still strong enough to leave a huge impression on our minds.

This picture is somewhat dark. The contrast in the black&white makes it stand out more than it would have in colour, because we see so much colour every day.

This moves me onto my next point, the emotions in colour.
The Warm and cool colours.

Okay, now if anyone has seen a picture or even a stage show or movie that shows a scene where something is meant to be evil or angry or threatening, a colour often used is Red. Can you think why?
Red is a warm colour, seen in a nature representing things like fire, etc. Orange is often coupled with it.
Now fire is a destructive element, is it not? evilness or anger is also viewed to be destructive.
Here's a look at a picture called Anger by ~Kamakazi1231, of deviantart.com.

(Yeah, I know it's too big.)
Now this pic doesn't exactly make you feel relaxed and calm, does it?
What emotion does it convey? anger.

See my point?

Now to a cool colour...Blue.
Blue represent things like water in nature, and can be used to convey calmness.Green is often coupled with it.
Here's a look at a pic called Underwater by ~neic from that site i've mentioned 149856782 billion times before.

Nice and calm? I thought so.

This blog was made to maybe make you think about what you feel when you see something beautiful, to help you see the meaning behind art.

Hope bothered to read all of it!

And now a pic to make you feel happy and inspired.
