I don't quite understand.
I don't quite understand how people judge others on how big of a fan they are by how much merchandise, how many cds they have and how many times they've seen the band live.
Does it really matter?
I have all of Green Day's CDs, a lot of merchandise and I've seen them live once...does that make me the biggest fan? No.
Liking a band isn't about how much money you spend on them, its about their music. It doesn't matter if you have 8 of their CDs. It doesn't matter if you have 3. They're just numbers.
I used to start arguing with people who had "Billie Joe is so hot!" in their name and see if they had all their cds, if they had merchandise, if they knew the rest of the bands names but really, whats the point of it?
If you like a band, you like them and thats the end of that.

i only have 3 and a half of their CD's,no t-shorts,and one poster. i have not seen them in concert.

I have all Green Day's CD's, a t shirt (which I'm wearing at the mo. :cassie), millions of posters and a calender, yet, I've never been to a concert.
Then there's The Fratellis. I have one album (they only have one..but whatever) and that's it. No posters or anything...but it doesn't make me any less of a fan.
So yes, true what you're saying there.

I agree
I hate how some people act like they're a band's biggest fan though, and they've only heard one song or something
SkittyOhGadz, July 10th, 2007 at 04:39:54pm
I agree.
I don't own all of Green Day's albums but I still know almost all of their songs. I love their music. So screw how many of their cds I own.

I agree. I have all Green Day albums, though I've never been to a Green Day concert and I only have 2 Green Day t-shirts.
Does that make me any less fan than someone who has bee to a concert or has tons of Green Day merch?
No.

Agreed.
I'm sick of people putting 'conditions' of a Green Day or even MCR fan up. Sure, they're funny, but not neccessarily true.

I can relate
xBleeding_Heartsx, July 10th, 2007 at 11:01:54am
You know, I've always thought about this.
I only have 3 Green Day albums, 2 dvd's, 2 band t-shirts and I've never been to a concert.
But that doesn't make me any less of a fan than everybody else.
I think to be a bigger fan is to love them more, for their music, them and nothing else.
