Of Mice and Men - John Steinbeck [Book Review]
Okay. I had to read this book for English. I thought it would be crap.
But I love it. It's my favourite book EVER.
It follows the story of two men, George and Lennie. This story is set in the early 1900s, by the way. They travel around to different ranches looking for work, so they may save up and buy a house. They begin work at a particular station, and that's when things go horribly wrong. Lennie is slightly retarded, and cannot make vital decisions on his own, which is also part of George's role. But, what if Lennie does something that even George can't save him from?
I highly recommend this book. The language is intricate, the story line gripping, and for those who don't like reading, it is a mere 120 pages long.
It will keep you glued to the shocking finale, which made me depressed for days.
I rate it 9 1/2 / 10.

It's actually set in the 1930s. Which is really significant, because of the Great Depression.

I did a review on this book for school.. I wish I could find it, because there's been a fair few reviews of this book just lately.

I think you could have written a bit more about the book, because the book is very complex in meaning, background, history etc
