Kyou Kara Maoh

[Often reffered to as Kyou Kara Maou, Kyo Kara Maoh or Kyou Kara Maoh]

Kyou Kara Maoh, an anime mixed with excitement and fun, tears and destruction. I have to say, I'm not a big anime fan myself, the only anime series I have ever been interested in before this is Pokémon. However, I found Kyou Kara Maoh through an anime obsessed friend of mine, in which I am grateful. Not one episode has passed by without making me happy, or sad, or angry. After finishing the 78 episodes, I decided to write a blog about it.

Kyou Kara Maoh is about the fifteen year old boy, Yuuri Shibuya. He lives a perfectly normal life in Japan with his parents and older brother, until one day one of his classmates Ken Murata gets into trouble with regular bullies. Yuuri decides to help Ken, and ends up getting flushed down the toilet into another world.
When he first arrives, Yuuri is very confused, especially when he is brought to Blood Pledge Castle, where he gets told that he is the 27th Maou ( which means demon king ) of New Makoku, the capital of Shin Makoku.
Because this is a different world, the people of New Makoku has other customs, and Yuuri ends up proposing to Wolfram von Bielefeld, son of the 26th Maou Cecilie von Spitzberg, by an accident. He ends up fighting Wolfram, and uses his maryoku ( magic ) for the first time, which proves that he is the king they're looking for. In the beginning Yuuri isn't that fond of Wolfram, who follows him wherever he goes, but throughout the series he proves that he is serious about the proposal, which in the beginning was nothing but an accident.
In Shin Makoku Yuuri faces danger and responsibility, knowing his task is to destroy humans, enemy of the mazoku ( demon race ). Instead of doing so, he tries to restore the peace between humans and mazoku, with good help from his body guard Konrad Weller, his fiancé Wolfram, Gwendal von Voltaire, Günter von Christ, Yozak Gurrier, the demon sword Morgif and so on, who has sworn loyalty to the young Maou.
What they are not aware of in the beginning, is that there's another, greater danger than humans waiting for them, and they start searching for four magical boxes which has been sealed for over fourthousand years ago. In order to destroy the mazoku, humans have gotten their hand on three of these boxes, and one of the keys. The question is if the mazoku can get their hand on these boxes or not.

From the beginning of the series it just gets more and more serious. The first episodes is just fun, mostly. It's very easy to get addicted, I love how the author always ends an episode at the most exciting point, which naturally makes you wanna watch more, and more. The ending of the series ( episode 70 - 78 ) are the most intense episodes I have ever seen, of any tv show in the world. If you are an anime fan, I suggest you look for episodes on veoh, it's definitely worth it.
The series is on 78 episodes, more will be released on October 26th.
