Judge me, I like music.

I like The Jonas Brothers, Coldplay, Fall Out Boy, REM, Radiohead, Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus.

If you're planning on judging me for just saying that, you may as well leave.

Will you talk shit about me behind my back because I like music that you can't stand? That's like me telling my "preppy" friends that you're "scene" because you like Bring Me The Horizon or Escape The Fate.

Will you throttle me because I like bands that don't scream, have hardcore thrashing guitar solos, and don't have pounding drums killing my ears? I can't help it, no more than you can help liking whatever you like.

I've always listened to diverse music. I was raised on Nirvana, Radiohead, and whatever my parents listened to at the time. But at the same time, I liked Britney Spears and Backstreet Boys. Now, my top played music goes from screamo and hardcore to indie and pop. I love Chiodos. I love The Jonas Brothers. I love Drop Dead, Gorgeous. I love Cobra Starship. I love The Academy Is... I love Alesana.

Would you flame the bands I like because of their "lack of talent"? What about if I flamed the bands you like because of the same thing?

I'm called goth at my school because I like screamo. I'm called prep on here because I like pop. I get stared at when I go to shows for not having hair thats bigger than my body. I'm so judged, everywhere I go, someone seems to stick a label to me. I'm not any of them - I just listen to the so-called label's music.

It's all opinions, but opinions on bands shouldn't make you hate a person. I'm all for freedom of speech - if you knew me you'd know how much I rag on about that - but sometimes it just bugs the shit out of me when people are so opinionated as to judge someone because they don't like what they like.
