It's summer, and with summer brings Warped Tour.
Guide to Warped Tour 2008.
[note: this is borrowed from my warped tour guide from last year.]
WHAT TO BRING:
-Water.
Frozen water will definitely last longer, and will be cooler. Find out how many bottles are allowed per person at your venue, and make sure everyone in your group has one. Water is expensive at warped tour [$2 for a bottle] and Mosh water has a funny metallic taste to it that is hard to adjust to.
-Trashbag. [Or backpack, whichever is more convenient.]
A small one, for merch and other free stuff that you might obtain. If you're bringing frozen water, it would be a good idea to put it in a plastic bag and put it in a dark backpack so that it melts slower. Black reflects sunlight.
-Money.
For merch [which is cheaper at Warped than at stores], food, drinks, etc.
-Sharpies.
For writing down set lists, getting autographs, and writing things down.
-Camera.
If you have a photo pass, you can bring a DSLR or an SLR, but if you're allowed to at your venue, DON'T. I repeat, do NOT BRING A DSLR if you have normal tickets. It will break. Bring either a disposable or a normal digital camera.
-Sunscreen.
I think the reason is obvious (;
-Notepad.
For autographs, set times, etc.
WHAT TO DO IN ADVANCE:
-Make a list of bands you want to see [and if possible, their stages]
You'll want to know this so that you can know for sure what bands you HAVE to see and what bands you WANT to see.
-Find out how many water bottles you can bring to your venue.
It's a good thing to know. Bring that many along with you.
-Buy water, sun screen, and make sure you have a lot of money.
You'll need it all.
-The night before, sleepover with your friends.
Picking people up wastes time.
BEFORE LEAVING:
-GO TO THE BATHROOM.
I can NOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH. You WILL need to pee and you WILL have to pee in a porta-potty.
-Make sure you are sunscreened.
Regardless of whether you bring some with you or not.
-Double check the bag you're bringing.
You don't want to leave important things at home.
-Make sure its at least 30 minutes in advance.
This depends on how far away the venue is.
WHILE AT WARPED:
-See as many bands as you can!
-Have fun.
-Meet bands.
-etc.

No darks!
-Sneakers!
-SHORTS.
-Loose t-shirt or tank top.
BE PREPARED FOR:
-One of the best days of your life.
-Hot weather.
-Sweat.
-Amazing bands.
-Porta potties.
