The people in suits
How many people sit around and wait for their lives to happen. How many people sit around and wonder of their dreams but are told it’s never gonna happen so they give up. How many people have changed their lives for someone else? I know I have.
But why?
I mean do we really need the whole successful life that people in suits tell us we need to live? No of course we don’t, their idea of success is being like them who are most often the scum of the earth who is never there for their kids and sleep around. But they it’s ok cos they have the successful lifestyle and the material objects that go with it. Mobile phones, lap top computers, wide screen TV’s- who wants any of that If it means changing your ideals.. Not me.
People say if you don’t have an important job, a wife and two kids, a car in the driveway your nothing. But to me if you have all of those things you’re nothing, because you aren’t you.

That's not true.
Educational systems do not inform a child that wide screen TV's, laptop and a large bank account are what's needed. Thy inform them of what's needed to obtain such a life style, they don't brainwash children into believing that's what they need.

The Goverment..
What I'm meaning is that's the stereotypical lifestyle and the goverments tell kids that from a young age via school and alternative learning. You must have this to have a good life, it's bullsh*t you could be homeless, no material objects just what you know to keep you going. That is classes as a good life/

i disagree with this in a sense. i do think that there are some wonderful people out there who care about family, values and friends more than their money or material things. it's easy to lose yourself when you have those things, but then again, it's easy to lose yourself anyway. i think it depends on how much self respect you have for yourself and how strong you are.

well I have a kid, acar in the driveway, a university education, all the material crap, a good job that is required by developers and the government, and I am so far from being an uptight prick you wouldn't believe. in fact i dress like i earn $10 an hour but I actually earn a sh*tload more. my cousin is multi-millionaire and so down to earth as is my rich brother-in-law. not all of us have broom handles up our butts. lumping those that have in one category is just as bad as saying those that don't have are lazy.
tbh I am me, people look down on me for the way I look (i'm supposed to look professional not a metalhead) until they see me in action at work, then they have respect. shows you that looks aint everything. helps i can also shut down their projects with one phone call XD
do not piss off the archaeologist! or you wont get your on time completion bonus
LOL

Well I want a HUSBAND, two kids (boys), a car in the driveway, and an important job (anesthesiologist), so does that mean I'm not myself? :/

I don't think what you say is quite true, but I understand what you mean.
Not everybody who appears successful is a jackass. A lot of them look that way, but looks can be deceiving.

Personally, I agree with The Government.
lol, double meaning
No but, my dad is a partner of a huge law firm. He's using the money he makes to send me to a private school and is saving it for me to go to a good College like North Western in Chicago. He loves me and my siblings, and he gladly spends his hard earned money on our education. Did I mention he worked for all of that from nothing? Believe me, we were living in rented houses that only had 3.5 rooms, and we had to save every penny for his law school.
My father is a great man, and I owe literally everything to him. My education and future success by hard work from his example. Yeah, he is successful, and rightfully so.
No, not everyone who is successful sleeps around and or doesn't spend time with their kids. That's a sweeping, unfair generalization.

Not everyone who is succesful in life is scum of the earth, ya know.
There's a lot of very wealthy, very happy and very down to earth people out there, who value their families more than their valuables.

cool. short and to the point. dude, i've had to change a lot about me in order to...survive i guess you would put it in society. people like me arent looked at as succesful. the scumbags in suits are douches who need to learn that you dont have to be successful to be happy.
awesome blog

i think he means those people are so self centered and so pleased about what they've "achieved" that they're blind for everything else. i think he means being average is bad.
am i right?

I agree for the most part.
I don't think you're successful unless you're doing something you love doing.

I don't think that's true.
