Letters: The Dying Art Form
Before I begin, let me say, I could not live without cellphone and more importantly, my iPod. However, I think this is sad, that I, like so many others, feel this way too.
Anyway.
When was the last time you received a letter? For me, it was Christmas. It wasn't a personal letter, just one written to say how life is and delievered to the rest of my family. I don't know about you, but I like receiving letters. Mail men like delivering letters. We can't forget them. They need jobs.
I think the way we live, in such a technology driven world is wrong. The idea of reading a book off a Nook,Kindle, Sony Reader, etc. disgusts me. Staring at a screen like that is not good for the eyes. It's like staring at a tv screen.
When was the last time you spent time under a tree, no cell phone, no iPod, no technology? Just you, fresh air, nature, and solitude? Try it. It's relaxing. It clears your mind. And it just focuses on you.
So, go write letter. Because everyone likes to receive one. It seems so heartfelt and meaningful, that someone sat down, and hand wrote you a personal message.

tbh the only reason i clicked on this blog was because i saw your icon so i thought that this would prove to be promising. and it has been. you present a valid point. i love letters. especially when they're written in pleasant handwriting, and with a pleasant color of ink.

e-mail less personal. I mean, the trees are already gone when we buy paper. More and more trees are planted all thetime. It's sad that we have such deforestation, but we also lose those personal connections.
I'm glad I'm not alone.

I really don't want letters to die completely. I think they are cool. I hate how everything is going paperless. It's great because we are saving trees but I would rather do that that not use paper. I think getting letters is fun. Better than getting an email.

I get letters weekly from my girlfriend and friends.
I send them weekly, I find it so amazing and way better than email
