I think what she means is not how you pronounce it in a word, but how the letter is officially called.
Like, when you name letters in English, you'd say
A - Ej
B - bi
C- si
...and so on. Like if you were to say "I have a "ž" in my last name", how would you call the letter? Would you just pronounce it as a sound or does it have a certain name?
