Yesterday I was watching an Irish film called Intermission. As the credits, rolled up, I smiled, recognising the intro to I Fought The Law and prepared to sing along. Before I was able to, a voice with a horrible Dublin accent started "singing" it, if you could call it that. Have you heard any good or bad covers of their songs?

No...actually I haven't really heard any covers of their songs.
And would you consider "I Fought The Law" a Clash cover?
I mean, the Bobby Fuller Four did it first.

I think their version of 'I Fought The Law' is one of the greatest cover songs of all time.

No wait!
I have heard a bad cover.
Some girl was singing "Straight To Hell" and it was dreadful!
She screwed up the words and stuff. Actually,I think that was on a Clash tribute album, called "Burning London" I believe.
But it SUCKED!

Ok I know I mentioned this on another thread but I guess I'll put it on here today. At the 2003 Grammy's they had a bunch people play a tribute to the Clash by playing London Calling and I hated it! I haven't heard a good cover of a Clash song yet. Maybe that's cause no one has a voice like Joe Mick or Paul

So did I, but I could never do any tricks, so I decided I sucked and just hung it up.

I'm having a good time staring at that smiley in your signature.
It's like Combat Rock era Joe, the sunglasses, mohawk, and we can pretend that the guitar is a black Telecaster.
