No, the antithesis of democracy would be fascism, a right-wing authoritarian system. Democracy cannot succesfully exist without common ownership and some form of socialism. Democracy and socialism are about cooperation, capitalism and dictatorship are about competition. Capitalism is anti-democratic.

Communism does not have a planned economy, but a free market. The governing body doesn't interfere, there is no state owned property, only social property.

Back to the subject matter, I blame one thing for the holocaust:
Humanity.
Blame Hitler, but he would be nowhere without his voters. Don't blame them, they had no choice. Blame the people who thought up the Final solution, but they couldn't have done it without people to implement it. Its all linked in one big intricate web and to my mind you can't lay the blame on anyone in particular.
I think without one, the other couldnt have happen, so all are to blame somewhat.
Except the Jewish God....I dont even believe him to exist, but those who do practice that faith don't blame him either.

It's definitely partially Hitler's fault obviously. I don't blame it on the Germans that voted for him though because they didn't know what his intentions were and they had no way of knowing. If I lived in Germany then I would've voted for him too. I mean, it was the only hope they had.
It was also the fault of the goons who supported him, the Nazis.
