I like fiction.
Just as long as it's based on fact.
I recently re-read The Grapes of Wrath.
That's got to be one of my favourite books, and The Green Mile.

The only book that I enjoyed and read recently that wasn't based on fact was 'Salem's Lot.

Sadly, I read mostly the books the school tells us to read. .__.

But this year, in French, they're pretty great.

1984 - G. Orwell
Le Parfum - P. Süskind
Comment devenir un ange - [can't remember]
Cyrano de Bergerac - [I suck at names]

And in English we have:

Flowers for Algernon and another book that looks pretty boring.

Anyways. I love to read, I just don't have the time to read anything else but school books, right now.

I recently read Betsy and the Emperor, it's about Napoleon's last years of life in exile. I never thought I'd like it, but it turned out to be a beutiful book. It shows the more human side of Napoleon, it's lovely.

I usually pick them out of the teen sections, but I like to read about drugs, prostitutes and all sorts of that junk. Oh, and vampires too.
I like big conflicts and dark stories.

It's Anthony Kiedis's biography and packed full of that crap. It was a really good story, if you ask me.

Napoleon was human. even though he had different views than us (apparently, the more conservative people -not saying you said it, many people do-), he did what he thought was best for his country.

i should read that book though. when everyone thought napoleon to be the bad guy, i always thought him as an intelligent leader (excluding the russia invasion)
