Emotional Abuse From Parents

my mom had a huge alcohol problem. just less than a year ago she got help. but every night she would get drunk and act like an idiot. one night when she was drunk, i was telling her something about a band i liked and she said, "well, it doesn't matter because i know more about music that you ever will." i never knew that the sound of ice hitting a glass could crush someone so much. on the brightside though, it made me write better songs. and my dad, i won't even get into that. i totally agree that emotional pain could be much worse that physical.
