I dunno if anyone elses dad has done this, but my dad went to new zealand with his mum and dad and he decided to travel back on his own stopping over at Thailand half way and then when he came back i found out he was having this affair with a thai woman that he bought from behind a bar, and the affair is still going on to this day and it has been going for nearly 4 years now. He keeps travelling over there every 2 months and when he comes back he acts like he doesn't give shit about me or my brother and sister, he treats my mum like shit, and now he is threatening to bring his so called 'girlfriend' back to england to live in my house with me and my mum,

Just want to know if anyone else has had any experiances like this or is in a situation like this?

Adultery is illegal in the UK, if you father has admitted to having an affair. Your mother has grounds for divorce.

i knew a guy who bought a mail order bride and they are very happy to this day they have had kids and are settled in Thialand, but your situation is differant addultery in the UK is illeaga and like Neosteph has already said your mum would have ground for divorce.

Usually Thai citizens have no trouble getting into the UK. I don't know cause I'm also British, but I've never heard of a Thai person being denied entry unless they really deserve it. And right now, the only real Thai who shouldn't be in the UK is Taksin.

But yeah, better living if you get hooked to some British hunk, visiting for some 'Bangkok Fun' as we call it here. It's not like the Thai girls go looking for foreign husbands. My mother in Thai, my father is British. You find love in unusual places sometimes.

Yeah, it is rare for a Thai man and foreign woman to get together, but my friend's parents are like that, so it still happens. But I guess, because of ever increasing female emancipation, women in Thailand are getting better jobs especially in biligual areas of work. My mother was a librarian studying English, for example.

If you marry a British citizen, you become a British citizen. I have no problems with Thai citizens becoming British citizens through marriage. Hell, that law is in place for a reason. People love eachother.

However. This isn't love i'm talking about, this is mail order brides. They aren't all Thai, either, by any means. I guess the typical stereotype of a Thai woman is an exotic, good looking person, which is why men want a bride like that. I don't agree with it, because love cannot be bought via Mail order.

Well, just imposing new government figures, new PM, new Minister of Natural Resources finally! Our last one was shit. Not very much happenning, but a lot more sense is being made in terms of policies and stuff.

You know it's sad, when Thailand didn't need a monarch, We had one, and he was too great, I grant you. Now that ours is more of a constitutional kinda thing, we really need one. The King is a firgure of inspiration to all Thais, and right now he is what the country needs. Someone that EVERYONE respects.
