Bloodraine:
The best actors aren't necessarily the youngest. Gary Oldman is completely different from my imaginary Sirius, but nobody can deny that he is a good actor. And after all, the actor who plays Snape is 61 (Coolio stfu I know I suck) and I don't hear many people complaining about him being too old. xD

As great as an actor may be, he has to be able to look the part. Gary Oldman might be a terrific actor, but as terrific as he is, I can't help but look at him and think something's off.
I wouldn't necessarally say it's because Oldman is.. an old man (someone had to do it Shifty), he just doesn't.. look right. Alan Rickman's much older but he manages to pull off Snape perfectly, imo.

Either way, my favorite book is probably either the PoA or the OotP.
Favorite characters being Sirius, Snape and Lupin.
Movie-wise... I don't know. Probably the first.

I remember Alan from Love Actually since I adore that film Coolio And even though he cheated on Emma Thompson I liked him. cause he is hot and everything xDAnd I think Gary is a good Sirius because he always played wacked-out people like in The 5th element, Bram Stoker`s Dracula and Galaxy Quest. He is good at that roles. And David Thewlis is an awesome Lupin. And I am not saying that cause I fancy Lupin & Thewlis, but because he is really good. And he always plays good characters I tend to like. Just watch Kingdom of Heaven Wink

Yeah, I don't think it was possible to hate him in love actually, even though we all loved Emma Thompson and hated seeing her upset, he was sort of like...naive in a way and it was just impossible to be mad at him for too long.

I loved the story with Keira Knightley.

Argh I wanna watch that film again.

Book- Deathly Hallows.
Character- SNAPE OBVIOUSLY. I'm also really fond of Luna and Lupin (although I think Luna replaced Lupin as my 2nd after Deathly Hallows.)
Film- I think either POA or OOTP.

I think my favorite book would have to be Half Blood Prince. It portrays a lot of the characters in a new light.
My favorite character is obvoiusly Draco Malfoy, but Bellatrix is cool too.
And my favorite film is either the Prisoner from Azkaban or Sorcerer's Stone.
