| Dehren McGhengland Rotting On Here Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 49206 | copied and pasted from my lj: ---------------------------------- QVC: now, i don't want john mccain to win the election - i don't his ideas and whatnot. and i also don't see why i care so much, seeing as i'm canadian. but i love whenever he's on the show. he's one of the very few political figures that can poke fun at himself and really get into the skits. and he was great in this skit! "we have our collection of "joe" dolls - joe the plumber, joe six-pack, and my favourite, joe biden!" monologue: i must say, i haven't been very impressed with the monologue's lately. they seem to be getting shorter and blander. i think they should be making them a bit longer, and possibly using some castmates in them again. the view: i love how kenan and fred played female roles - it just goes to show how snl really needs more female castmembers! xD but overall, i loved it. i don't know who fred was impersonating, but i loved it! and kenan made a damn good whoopi goldberg. aaaand ben kept cracking me up as alec baldwin! "i think you should divorce your husband and marry me, and then divorce me so i can write another book!" countdown with keith olberman: i don't know who this guy [originally] is, but i loved ben's impersonation. rather than the fact that he started to laugh every once in a while. and i loved fred's impersonation [obviously]. poor miss precious perfect.  target lady: i had forgotten all about this character until it came on. it's not one of my favourites that kristen has done, but i still love it. and she finally found a target man - how cute! staten island zoo: it was good in the fact that jason was finally in a skit. and the song was pretty good. but not one of my favourites of the night - nothing really stood out. musical performance (1): ehh, david cook is alright. i'm very picky when it comes to music, i think. weekend update: hmm, they kept amy in the opening credits AND in the wu open. she HAS to be coming back for a proper send-off and maybe they're just not telling us. but once again, seth really impressed me by himself. the kelly brothers had me in tears during their song! and it was lovely to see aunt linda again. aaand john mccain was a good sport to go on and poke some fun at himself. "if that doesn't work, i'll go with my other stradegy - 'the sad grandpa'." night school musical: just what i was praying for - another musical skit!  those were some catchy songs and fun dance moves they had. they've got some maaaad skill! "put the fire back in your marrige" techniques: after this skit, i can only say this - i OFFICIALLY love kenan thompson. this was one of the best things of the night, in my opinion. i wouldn't even have the guts to film those things like he did haha! he did very well tonight, i must say. brother-actors: what? bill hader finally in a skit? it's about damn time. he convinced me as that fucked-up emo kid, or whatever he was heh. overall, it was a cute skit. musical performance (2): once again, not too fond of him. bierhoff brother's "times square" jackets: just when i think he can't anymore, fred always seems to amaze me. <33 he and ben were great as german's. and that coat looked very convinient. a coat, a vest, and a tent? i must buy it! |
