Salvia is a hardcore drug that is legal in the united states. (if you're over 18!!)
What it does is make your mind go crazy and see everything in a different way.
such as a cartoon world in real life or laughing your ass off for no reason and not
being able to stop. The reason it is legal is because of the elapsed amount of
time it takes to go back to normal. They say you're out laughing and seeing things
for about 5-10 minutes then you recover and feel like nothing ever happened to you
in about 20-30 minutes. But the question is why is it legal? there are a few video's
on youtube of what Salvia does to you.

Dude, its the first sentence of the thread and you've stated something totally incorrect. Coolio Thats not good.

I would hardly consider it a hardcore drug, its actually being researched as a potential therapy for depression. It's not physically addictive, and has no life threatening side effects. Now, that means its not hardcore, but not necesarrily good.

and it's not legal everywhere in the United States, its totally banned in some states and many more are considering it.

Its banned in Croatia, incase anyone cared.

Yeah, I do

Well, anywas Courtney is right I had to do a report on Salvia Last year, and I think Louisina completely out lawed it and the only problem seemed to be was that teenagers used it and there was one occurencece that they thought it contributed to one teen's suicide but that is only one case. So far I do not consider it 'hardcore' or that bad. I would rather see teens on Salvia then meth. So just count your blessings and be happy.

Having never heard of this drug i thought this was going to be about a rock band or something Laughing

I think with any mind altering drug caution should be held. Pot has been around for centuries but its only been in the last decade or so that real evidence has shown the damage consumption has on your motor skills and brain. Same can be said about alcohol and tobacco and considering thats legal its a rather interesting dilemma.

I know people who get like that from general OTC stuff. Coffee

I don't think it being illegal would really work, they can't necessarily prevent people from finding ways to get it. They can try but...Rolling Eyes I thought the law had better things to do.

Well, first I should start by saying I've expirimented with a few drugs. Salvia really isn't what's it's all cut out to be. Yes, it does cause hullicinations but the most it's really done when I tried it was change things colors and it didn't really hurt you like some other things can.

Take alcohol for example, even one bottle can make you loopy but Salvia is no where close to being that extreme. It doesn't make you black out and do a bunch of stupid things and it doesn't make you pass out completely.

So, the government can do all they want with it but it's not ever going to be half as dangerous as the other things kids are smoking these days.

Drugs at 13?omg^

Salvia is hardly even called a drug, it's pretty much like pot, the weird thing is that a lot of people say that they have have the same trips when they use it, like they'll hallucinate the same stuff without even tripping together. There's this lady that a lot of people see too when they use Salvia. Weird.
And also there are no long term effects after doing the drug.

Salvia used in cooking is the same thing as sage. This is different.

You mean it doesn't? o.o

...I've seen this thread I don't know how many times. I had a discussion with my friends about it on AIM. And for all this time I thought it was 'saliva.' [killsself]

[sigh] Anyway. One of the aforementioned friends just said that it made you hallucinate really hard for like 15 minutes and you take it before shrooms, which you take before acid. Ideally. And it's only illegal in, like, fifteen states or something like that, and it isn't very hardcore or anything.

[It's legal in Ohio, I think. I must say I'm tempted. >.>]
