This is an act that was introduced a year or two ago into Congress dealing with the Immigration Issue. There are over 20,000 undocumented immigrant students that graduate from our high schools every year; many of them came here at a very young age. What crime did they commit? Obeying their parents. I'm not looking for a debate here, but the DREAM Act will allow these STUDENTS who came here before the age of fifteen and who have been here for five or more years to obtain permanent residency status (green card) and help them on their way to citizenship as long as they are pursuing a higher education/military enrollment. These kids are just as Americanized as we are, if not more, so who are we (fellow immigrants) to tell them no when they've done nothing wrong?
