I'm a newbie here and just wondered what songs of GD's other fans like playing on guitar. Or bass. Or whatever, really.
I've just been learning Brain Stew and can finally play it right. I got some Green Day tabs from

www.cleartabs.com/all-artists/green-day-guitar-and-bass-tabs/

after trying ultimate guitar tabs and just getting nowhere with them. These ones seem pretty accurate.

I'm gonna learn minority next. Any other guitarists got any suggestions of the best GD guitar tracks to have a go at.

I'm thinkin Amercan Eulogy might be a little too tricky yet Smile

Wake Me Up When September Ends is a nice one if you know what your doing. They have a lot of different ways they play the chords, though. D: Like they play G differently, same with C and D.
But easier ones would be something like- Working Class Hero, or Good Riddance for beginners. They have pretty easy chords, you just have to learn how to play them like GD does in those songs.

I never had a lesson- yet, but I can play Good Riddance. It's really easy, only four chords. The strumming is harder if you want it to sound right but it's a great easy song.

Here's the link to a video lesson if you don't want to even bother with tabs. Marty Schwartz is a good teacher though- give him a try
