I wouldn't say I've ever been "fat" persay. I mean, I've lost about 30 lbs. I got down to a really unhealthy weight.

90 at age 15.

I'm extremely self-consious, but I got my weight to a healthy 110.

I'm 17 and I weigh 45 kgs. I don't know the facts, I know I'm underweight, but I don't know if it's not bad or much too unhealthy. My doctor mentions my weight a lot to me everytime I see her. She just never tells me about it.

That's not a lot of lbs. Do you eat what you want? Are you dieting or anything of that nature?

I think it's kinda an obligation of the parents to teach their parents how to eat right.

And for that, you have to inform yourself.

Sometimes I'm watching this show on TV with like fat families and stuff, and an expert is trying to help them and they're saying: "I wanna lose weight, but I don't know how" and stuff..
And then they are people, who are like "I know we're too fat, but my son cries if he doesn't get chocolate etc"

That just pissed me off. -_- How can you be so weak? As a parent?

Neutral I don't know, but I think it's not fair that they don't give their kids the chance to live healthy..

That kinda reminds me of my family Coolio
Not because my brother would cry if he didn't get food, but he eats so much junk crap. My mom mainly buys him the stuff he'll eat like cookies and whatever food he'll eat at the moment. My dad isn't the same though, he always buys things like unprocessed meat (which my brother won't eat) and stuff. Kinda hard to find stuff he likes when my brother doesn't like most meat, fruit, vegetables...o_o

My little brother went through a stage between 12-16 only eating cereal, baked beans and pizza and he has the fatest metabulism of anyone I know it's god damn annoying -_-

Some people can eat what they want and get away with it and generally teenage boys can get away with it. then they start drinking and get beer bellies.

Obesity doesn't appear just because of eating much junk food.
Obesity appears because of junk food, and, more important, lack of sport. You can eat everything you want (well,in normal quantities) as long as you practice sport which helps you keep your organism healthy.
I had problems myself with my back and my weight because of not doing any sports.

Just really high metabolism. I eat so much food it's crazy. The only reason I have a job is so that I can actaully have enough food to make me full. And I work at Swensen's so I can get all the ice cream and pizza I want. I pretty much eat al the time. And I eat rice all the time since I'm Thai. It's just high metabolism which is possibly bad for me.

Although if you're obese then it is most commonly down to the food eaten. But I think its unfair to say that people who complain about being obese and cary on eating loads are causing themselves problems. I think that there are eating disorders to do with eating too much just as there are for people who eat too little. I want to lose weight myself and I'm not obese, but it is really hard if you can't get into the right frame of mind. It's easy to say "I'm so fat that I'm depressed, I need to lose weight!" But actually putting that into practise is hard, when you get the urge to eat its hard to just not to. So there are physcological issues aswell. Thats my opinion anyways.

The school I go to has recently become a sports college. The problem? Once you're over 16, gym class isn't compulsory, which I think it should be. I really want to join in but because of health and safety they won't allow me to play football with the boys, which is the only thing they seem to offer.

Everyone is given a week to practice for sports day, and we sign up for our activities two weeks before. Most schools would be training months before hand.

And since they've stopped selling chips and burgers, it's processed pizza and greasy bacon. How is that healthier? At least the chips were edible.

Well, 2/3 of the American population is overweight. That tells me that, no matter what people say about "some people just can't do anything about it," some people are eating waaaayyy too many fuckin' Snickers bars and fries.

It's a bad thing. And it makes the country look like crap. But there's no way to force anyone to be healthy.
