I checked and there wasn't a thread of the legendary sport.

Hey, Martin Truex Jr. got his first win Monday and sadly Bill France Jr. passed at age 74 on Monday also [R.I.P.]Molly. The sport's 2nd chairman of NASCAR. What do you think of the new points system and rule settings? This year they changed 10 drivers to 12 drivers for Chase to the Cup. Oh, and who do you think might win the cup this year? Tony Stewart, Kurt Busch, and Jimmie Johnson have all done it.

.................. NASCAR

Well the NASCAR (National Association of Stock Car Auto Racing) was born Feb. 21, 1948. It's founder was Bill France Sr. The rules were, @ Daytona and Talladega, you can't race or pass under the yellow line/aapron, The King of racing was Richard Petty, 7 time champ with 200 wins. NASCAR races used to be like 60 or 70 races a season til 1972 which they cut it down to about 30 or so races. They also put restricter plates on the engines @ Daytona and Talladega cuz the speed there were going unbelievably fast and added roof flaps to the cars in 1994 to keep the cars on the ground when they spin. In 2004 they've added SAFER barriers on the walls to soften the blows to the wall. After the 26 race, the top 12 in the standings are all in the running for the championship. They get an advance on there points up to 5,050 points so the drivers 13th on down won't pop into the chase. Don't ask me the rest about the chase cuz the rules about it got me a little confused. 3 people has won the chase:

-2004, Kurt Busch
-2005, Tony Stewart
-2006, Jimmie Johnson

Here's a link to their website
