But I played The Clash to my plant from my CD player [that wasn't near and it doesn't blow so the carbon-dioxide thing doesn't apply here] and my plant grew and she was more colourful. And more punk-rock tbh OMGyes
I play The Clash all the time and my house plants never do too well. Molly

Though, I do have a sneaking suspicion that my dogs chew on them and piss in the pots. O.o

...The only thing I can grow is Parsley. And Thyme (sp?). My cat Tod loves thyme. He slept on it so much that instead of growing up it just grew along the ground...that is until my mother ran it over with the lawn mower.

....I hope plants don't feel pain. XD

One of the best memories I have of my early childhood is being three feet tall and running through my Grandfather's four foot tall lavenders, the smell filling the air around me almost to a nauseous extent. Lavender is to this day one of my favourite smells.

Now I sorta feel bad for the lavenders that I ground up and made in to incenses and soaps. Oh well, keeps me smelling lovely.

Oh wow.
I find this very funny.
You can't have feelings if you don't have a brain.
Yeesh. They may be effected by noise, but that has no bearing on whether or not they have feelings.

I have a plant in my garden, it's name is Fred, he is rather happy, but his sister Mary Ann suffers from some depression, Mary Anns boyfriend Tom has OCD, and dont even get me started on Toms brother Max.

My mum used to tell me that flowers cried when you picked them.

To stop me uprooting her garden.

Well, there was this girl at my summer camp that would ALWAYS PICK LEAVES OFF TREES and like pull branches down and stuff which would get me really mad. I'm not one of those insane tree huggers in case you were wondering but like I just got pretty irritated at her behavior towards the trees D=

Anyway, she'd always be like "trees don't have feelings and they don't matter" and stuff and I'd be like "they have just as much feelings as your stupid japanese beetles" and she'd say stuff about animals having brains and plants not.

Anyway, I think that plants have feelings since they're complex multicellular organisms but not exactly emotions. They probably don't understand hate or love but I'm pretty sure that they feel pain and stuff like that.

OMFG The majority of plants have no complex, functioning nervous system. Its actually better that way, because they would waste energy on a body system they don't need. I mean, if a little 5 year old girl started to pick a flower it isnt like the plant could hop up and sprint away. Venus Fly Traps are an exception to this, and have some sense of feeling (physically speaking).

There is a difference between "feelings" and "emotions" if you wanted to be technical Think Some plants may have the ability to feel (I only found one); but they have no true emotions.

Im not sure about emotions in plants but i do know of hormones in plants that make them do stuff. And Tropisms and stuff. Like if you put a plant in teh shade next to the light. it will lean over to get the sun. As for the music. It does make them bloom a little more. but I don't know why.

We did stuff to test this in school. If i get ahold of my notes I shall type them up and post them.
