Green Day: Rock Band and it's effect on non-Green Day fan-Gamers...

i myself do not own a PS3 or X-Box, but my gamer-geek friend does. He has all the Rock Band gear too. As an "i'm going to cheer my best mate up" kinda gesture he bought a copy of GD: Rock Band. He really isn't a fan of the band but knows i really AM. He played the entire game with me several times, and the last time we played it he set up a second mic and did the backing vocals to the entire American Idiot album. This guy is as hardcore as gamers go and to him, this was heracy! But let me tell ya, when "Peacemaker" is being played he cannot stop jumping about and dancing. Thats a friend for ya! Has anyone else got a similar feelgood tale? Or a GD Rock Band related story?
