Kinda like a survey or somthin' I guess. Anyway... I like Punk (duh) and Heavy Metal. I mostly like Green Day, Avenged Sevenfold, and MCR. |

I tend to just say I like 'alternative music' for want of an umbrella term for tonnes of genres/subgenres I like - Britpop, surf pop, dream pop, lo-fi, punk, post-punk, psychedelia, noise pop, indie, baggy, chillwave, electronica. I guess indie rock is probably the closest I can get to a specific term for all of the above my favourite genre's gotta be Britpop though, I'm obsessed with it. favourite Britpop bands; Suede, Blur, Pulp, Oasis, Elastica. I would list favourite bands for the other genres but I listed loads so it'd be easier just so say look at my LastFM for bands I like I would also say that genres can be misleading. The Jesus and Mary Chain are 'noise pop' but I think their music is 'heavier' than Green Day who most would class as 'punk rock'. that's just me though being all ~uber srs~ about music |
Raymond Post Whore Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 22426 | I also like a load of subgenres of rock - 50s rock 'n' roll/rockabilly, 60s rock/beat/garage/R&B/whatever, blues rock, glam rock, pub rock, power pop, indie, pyschedelica, folk rock, a couple of punk bands... Oh and I quite like swing/big band I'm mainly into 60s and 70s stuff, so when people ask I tell them that's what I'm in to, and then they act all 'WHY? THAT'S OLD.' |
