Awesome. That's one of the few words that can describe this concert.

It started out with a band called Flogging Molly who played some sort of irish/rock music. They were pretty good, but the sound of their guitar was louder than the guy's microphone, and it started to drone. But nonetheless, interesting music... Not my style, but interesting.

Then Jimmy Eat World came on playing "Pain". They performed very well. Jimmy Eat World played some songs off of their most recent album, "Futures" and others. They ended with the all-famous "The Middle". With a bunch of people singing along.

It did sort of suck for the opening acts though. During Flogging Molly, less than half of the stadium was full it seemed, and nobody seemed to enjoy it much. Same for Jimmy Eat World.

But now back to the concert:

After a 30 minute intermission with everyone waiting and watching, the YMCA began to play. And we all know what happens next... The PINK BUNNY! Yeah - so he came on drinking his beer and doing the YMCA as well as some other weird... Scary... But totally awesome things.

After the pink bunny, Green Day FINALLY came on. They ran out from behind the stage playing "American Idiot" and practically everyone in the stadium was singing along with them.

Some of the greatest moments were when Billie Joe mooned the audience during King For A Day (classic)...The ever-so-wellknown masturbation... With Billie chanting "Hey-oo" and slowly turning it into an "uh uh uh" (haha).

The people taken from the audience to play "Knowledge" were incredibly awesome. Initially, the drummer had been told just to hit the drums with a really simple beat, and eventually he really got into it and started making the changing it around (upsetting Tre, who was coaching him through it [hehe]).

Also - someone from the audience threw a John Swett High School T-shirt up to Billie Joe. Something not so common among other shows.

But, if I had to say what the greatest moment of the concert was (at least for me), it would be after We Are the Champions when Billie stayed on stage to play "Good Riddance". I almost cryed it was so great.

All I could say on the way back to the hotel (I was staying in San Francisco for a trip) was: "That was most awesome concert I have ever been to!!". Hopefully all you Green Day fans will get a chance to go to one too. It really was one of the greatest experiences of my life.
