Denver, CO Pepsi Center, September 18th, 2005

I'm going to start off by saying that it was the best fucking night of my life! I've been in love with Green Day since before I can remember (okay, maybe not that long, but for pretty long... :)

So, me and my friend show up at like 6:00 (the concert started at 7:00) and we would have been earlier but my dad wouldn't let me miss any school to get to the Pepsi Center early (I wanted to get there at like 10:00 am). So we got in line and were waiting forever, and we met this one girl in line, who was from Fort Collins or something, so we talked to her while we were in line. When we got up there, we had to re-locate to another line and wait there forever. When we got to security, they found my camera and told me to either hide it around the building or put it in my car, so we had to go back and hide it but the security guy was really nice and just waved us thru the line after he made sure that i didn't have my camera.

Me and my friend (Bailey) went up to the section we were sitting in and it took forever to find our seats. By the time we finally sat down, Jimmy Eat World was playing. I didn't really know any of the songs, nor did I really care, I came to see Green Day. Bailey knew most of the Jimmy Eat World songs and was singing along and I was just sitting there waiting for Green Day to come on. Then Jimmy Eat World was like, now give it up for the best band in the world! GREEN DAY!! And everyone started screaming and cheering. Then it was like another half hour while they set up Green Day's stuff, then the Pink Bunny came out. He was chugging a bunch of beers and throwing the cans out to the croud, then he threw a couple of stuffed bunnies out and then he went back stage.

Then, the lights dimmed and we all screamed and started jumping around. Green Day came out and we went wild! They started playing American Idiot and everyone in the arena sang along, then they played Jesus Of Suburbia and Bailey kept asking me if the mini songs on Jesus Of Suburbia were 'on the album' (American Idiot). I just nodded and kept singing. Then Billie Joe was like "This song is a big FUCK YOU to George W. Bush" and we all booed and he started playing Holiday. Everyone sang along and we got really into it. I can't remember the order that they played the songs in but here's the list of songs they played after Holiday.

Wake Me Up When September Ends
Longview
King for A Day/ Shout
Basket Case
Brain Stew
Jaded
Are We The Waiting
St. Jimmy

When they played Wake Me Up When September Ends, I cried... It's a sad song... What can I say. Then when Billie Joe had us sing 'HEEEYY OOHHH', he started moaning and rubbing his stomach and then he stuck his hand down his pants, then he screamed "SOMEBODY FUCK ME." Everyone in the arena screamed and he was all "Time to get naked!" and he started undressing, then he stopped and asked for the crowd to cheer and we did, we cheered our hardest... But he didn't strip anymore... *pout*

Then during King For A Day when he laid down on the stage, he started humping the floor when they put the crown and cape on him... It was so unbelieveably hot. They made a 'new band' and pulled three people from the crowd to play bass, guitar and drums.

Then the girl playing guitar jumped from the stage and the guitar strap came off the strap lock thinger and he was like "YOU FUCKED UP MY GUITAR." She looked about ready to cry but he laughed and hugged her and let her keep the guitar. *grumble* lucky* grumble* Then the guy on drums crowd surfed. He also had a kid come up to work the hose and spray the crowd, then he took the other hose and sprayed the other side of the crowd. My friend got sprayed in the face with Billie's hose, and she rubbed it in the next day... Grr.

He got the crowd really excited and had us all sing 'HEEEYYYY OOOOHHH!' and then he had us boo everyone else. When he introduced the band he introduced Mike, Tre and Jason, then before he introduced himself, all the teenies went insand and were screaming their heads off, and when he introduced himself as George W. Bush we all booed and then he said: 'We can just call him asshole' and everyone laughed. After they went backstage, for the Encore, Bailey was like, okay lets go. I'm like HELL NO, WAIT FOR THE FUCKING ENCORE and the people around us laughed.

We all started changing Green Day really loud and then they ran back out. They started off playing Boulevard Of Broken Dreams then they played "We Are The Champions" and shot off confetti to the crowd. Then the band left and Billie Joe played Good Riddance by himself, by then everyone had put up their lighters or cell phones, and I was crying, along with several others. Then Billie Joe left the stage and we all cheered and left. When we were leaving the building, people kept cheering and screaming GREEN DAY and the crowd had a blast, just hanging with each other and loving Green Day together.

I just have to say, it was the best fucking night of my life. I wish I could just re-live it again, and again, and again, and again. Every day, for the rest of my fucking existence. If you haven't had the pleasure to see Green Day live, then try your hardest to get tickets, because they kick so much ass. They have so much energy, and keep the crowd involved. They've got the best fucking live show ever.
