Kansas City, MO - Kemper Arena, May 13th, 2005

When I was in 6th grade I started to learn how to play the guitar. My sister's boyfriend at the time taught me how to play When I Come Around by Green Day and Come As You Are by Nirvana.

I've been playing their music since then. I went to this Green Day concert one day before my high school graduation!! When I got to the concert I went right inside just to be pushed out the door by security, telling my friend and I to go to the back of the line.

We quickly cut in line to get inside faster. When I got inside we had to sit around for about half an hour before My Chemical Romance played.

I didn't listen to much of their music at the time but thought they were alright.

Finally Green Day got on stage which made my day. I noticed that Billie Joe was dropping some of his guitar picks on the ground and the security guards were tossing them in the crowd.

I pushed my way all the way to the fence at the front of the stage for a chance to get one of the picks. About 5 minutes after I got to the front, I got pulled up on stage to play with Green Day, "my idols", which was the best thing that could ever happen.

Billie Joe gave me a hug and grabbed my ass but I didnt care, I knew it would make my 3 sisters jealous. I started playing the song he showed me which was a sinch, since I knew how to play well already.

To end the song I was playing along with the other individuals pulled on stage to play, a couple of us jumped off the drummers platform for a punk style ending. After I jumped off the drummers platform I broke off into my own little solo which I don't really remember since I was caught up in the moment!

They quickly turned the volume down and we all made our way off the stage. Billie Joe called me back on stage and asked me what my name was. I was overexcited so I could barely speak.

As I was on stage with him he decided to give me his guitar which gave me the most excitement in my whole life. Before I went to the concert I rebuilt a guitar with my dad and painted it green along with putting some black vinyl Green Day stickers on it. I actually took that guitar to the concert with mine in case I could get it signed but ended up going home with a guitar given to me by Billie Joe Himself!!

To end the story I was by far the happiest among my class the next day at my high school graduation.
