About
My name is Joan... I have been a Green Day fan since I was in 8 years old (putting me in 2nd grade). My friend Kayte got me even more obsessed with Green Day. Um... I used to drum but developed a joint disease that prevents me from playing. I would play anyway but it hurts too much. But I am now the singer in a band with my best friend Michelle but our band realy is more of a thing that will eventually happen, since we need a bassist.

I absolutely love anything retro (especially 60s era stuff, 80s is a close second though). Honestly though anything retro that I find (and can afford to buy) makes my day.
I'm a huge Disney nerd.
I really hate how people on this site, and others, will just blow up at your for nothing. Like I'll make a joke and someone will misinterpret it as me being serious and suddenly I’m a teenie. Relax! Think about the other meanings to what I said before you attack me.
Or when I admit that I strongly dislike Pete Wentz and I get yelled at. I don’t yell at you for liking him do I? No! I accept everyone’s opinion. It’s like that saying: “I may not agree with what you have to say, but I’ll fight to the death for your right to say it.” Meaning, I might not agree with what you believe or say but everyone has a right to think and say what they want and I’m going to enforce that right. So don’t attack me for things I say or the way I say I feel on a particular topic. It’s just not right.
I'm really not afraid to tell people how I feel about them. I have no issues with who I am or what I look like and that actually makes some kids at my school uncomfortable with but they'll just have to deal. I will confront people when necessary but if they're not being an asshole then I don't like to start conflict because as far as I'm concerned that just is another thing to put effort into and I'm pretty lazy so that doesn't appeal to me.
Well it seems so frightening
Time passes by like lightning
Before you know it you're struck down
I always waste my time on
My chemical emotions
They keep my head spinning around
^^Android by Green Day. It's pretty much how I feel a lot if the time.
I'm not into the whole stereotype thing. I won't label myself a Punk, Prep, Goth, Emo or whatever I'm prefectly happy as just me, which is something people tend to overlook. God forbid I don't feel the need to define myself in one way and in one category. I'm ADHD but that doesn't make me the wild-off-the-wall kid all the time, my favorite band is The Clash and my second favorite is Green Day but that doesn't make me the punk kid, I like black and that doesn't make me Emo or Goth, and I love some pop songs but that doesn't mean I'm a prep. I'm just Joan and I always will be. I express myself in the way I want when I want. I never want to feel constricted to a certain style and feel like I have to act, dress, and live that way all the time. I want to be able to blast Metallica from my car one day and Eve 6 the next. I guess that means I'm just into complete freedom of expression.
My absolute favorite bands (in this order) are:
The Clash
Green Day
Jimmy Eat World
Um I'm ADD...

On the left is my brother Bill. On the right (in the middle of the right pic for non GD fans) is Billie Joe Armstrong from the time of the Nimrod album. My friends and I think they look alike.
