Apparently it is extremely different... because I see AFI as being excellent performers that don't easily lose their breath while just standing on stage. (Which is what I've seen a lot from Gerard) But yeah. Whatever. Differing opinions.

Why do I hate MCR? Because I find them to be an absolutely horrible band. I used to like them before this new album, but then it was brought to my attention how much Gerard was starting to rip off other bands- one being Green Day.
And I mean, I understand that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but when it ascends to just flat-out using Green Day's success strategies to further your own music, it becomes too much of a copycat and a ripoff. That, to me, is what My Chemical Romance did- but in a much horrible way.
Not only that, but when I tried to go back to listening to them, I just found them to be incredibly annoying. Gerard's voice was just too... I don't know... annoyingly nasal. The guitars just sound terrible. And the songs were all about one thing: death. There was never a big variety between the songs. Yeah, they all sounded different, but were all the same in a sense.
I just don't like that about a band. Plus, and don't take this the wrong way- I'm not meaning you- most of their fans just annoy the f*ck out of me. When I went to see them in 2005 (in which I realized that they sounded horrible live) the f*cking kids in the back kept shoving everyone to try to get closer. I was in the middle of the crowd, so I was being shoved both ways. Well, when the band came out, there was a big push from the back, and then an equally big push from the front. Everyone fell. On top of each other. And what does Gerard say? "If you can't handle it, get out of the f*cking pit!" Aiming it directly towards us, despite the fact that that area wasn't even the pit.
So, while they didn't ever say anything directly towards me, they did do things that really bothered me, and they have some really dumb fans. It just gets on my nerves.
