Who has to suffer?
There's been alot of discussion lately about climate change and it's effects on our planet.
Here's something for you to think about.
Who is the biggest polluter in this world?
And who has to suffer from the effects of the climate change caused by high pollution?
The biggest polluter is the "civilized" world, as in Europe and Northern America. The countries with the lowest poverty, the biggest progress and industry. The strong countries.

The effects of the climate change affect someone else though: Africa and South Asia. The poorest areas on our planet. Their percentage of the total pollution is low, about 1% only. But they are the ones who suffer the most and the earliest.

Whereas the rich countries can protect themselves against the effects, the poorest countries can't.
The Result: Poverty will increase. The gap between the richest and the poorest will grow.
Now why do people here get annoyed when they have to put a filter in their car exhaust?

I agree with some of your points, however I did find it slightly biased.
Because, it accepts that climate change is unprevantable, but I did like the way you centred it around the MEDC's cutting down because if we restrict the poorer countries, their development is also restricted.
But I do agree, it''s not much effort at all to do the little things and, they could make a big difference.

I agree fully. Some people dont think global warming is a load of crap, but it isn't. It's affecting poorer countries, and it's going to majorly affect our offspring in about a hundred years.

I've never really thought much of Mexico as an example
thanx, i'll do some research on that.

but all the corporations over here are actually American
and no mexico aint rich, there are rich bastards over here
Infact most of our industrys that prosper are regulated by Americans, and the thign about being near America lets just put it like this we have a saying " poor mexico so far from god, so close to america"
Now I dont believe in god or anything. But this country would be quite better some miles down

I agree Kurtni, I wasn'tthinking of water pollution. I was more thinking of the general climate change and it's effects.

The city with the worst pollution in the entire world is in Mexico, not in South Africa or Asia. And those areas really aren't that polluted by industry, actually. Water pollution is a big problem in Africa, but it isn't due to any industry in America or Europe. It's caused by the lack of sanitation regulations and the lack of sewer systems. It's been a problem for quite sometime and it isn't imporving. Complaing to big corporations about pollution in places like that doesn't do anything because it isn't their fault. However, all the kids hospitalized in Mexico daily due to the air pollution are caused by those companies. The closer you are to the pollution, the worse it is for you.

I recycle, try to save energy and stuffo
I wish I could do more, I live in M'exico and its gonna affect us first than the rich ass countries

Mexico is both poor and rich. There is a huge gap between both. Just look at the megacity Mexico City. Plus thanx to its closeness to the USA it has an advantage to other "poor", well actually more poor countries.

Yeah.

I agree with you.
It's not much effort to recycle or put in a filter for something that has a big effect.
Some people say they don't care cos they can leave it to our generation and the next generations but I think that's a bit selfish to be honest.
Save the planet!
