Are you daydreaming?

I wrote a short text about something that is quite unusual to write about: daydreaming.

Dear diary,

I've been daydreaming again. It's always only seconds or minutes but it actually makes me feel quite happy. When I'm sitting in class, tram, bus, train or when I'm simply walking down the street I always catch myself daydreaming.
And it's weird because no one really thinks about daydreaming even though everyone actually does it. And it's something really beautiful that you do unintentionally. Many people aren't even aware that they daydream.
I most of the time daydream about my boyfriend. I imagine what he might be doing right now or I remember the good times we have. I always catch myself smiling and other people will look at me weird because, to them, I'm showing feelings without a reason. But it all makes sense in my own world.
And it's great. To shut yourself off your surroundings for a while, to go inside youself, dwell in your own world for a moment and forget about all the noise around you.
Most people daydream in places where there's alot of noise and alot of people running around. It's stimulating I guess.
I often have sounds in my head or think of a picture. And even now, dear diary, while writing to you, I always catch myself driving away, thinking of something else, falling into daydreaming.
Some people might say daydreaming is inappropriate or immature, but I think it's a great gift. And it makes me happy inside.
You know, diary, I think without daydreaming the world would be a little greyer.

Love xxx
