Spiderman 3 for the PS2

So yeah, I played Spiderman 3 over this weekend. It's a really great game. Good graphics, some good fight scenes. Far more exciting then the movie. Some of the stuff that happens in the movie happens in the game though, such as fighting Venom. Well, the game was good and all, but I wouldn't say it's as good as Spiderman 2.

Spiderman 3 had a lot of glitches and mess-ups in the cutscenes, like cutting out without pressing anything, or sometimes during a mission it would randomly make me fail. Spiderman 2 had pretty much nothing wrong with it, except the slightly bad graphics with a tiny bit of age. Details on the buildings from far away in Spiderman 3 were extrodinary hard to see, unlike Spiderman 2 which didn't blur with distance. Spiderman 2 was also longer than Spiderman 3, and it had far more side missions.

Spiderman 3 was covered by boss battle on boss battle. Sme parts of the game were frustrating because the bosses kept getting really hard, and some of the things you have to do to defeat the bosses you had to find out yourself. Also if you play Spiderman 2 then 3, 3's gameplay was far more different.

Spiderman 3 you have to accept missions to do around the city. Random things pop-up on the screen asking you to accept the missions. It gets in the way if you're trying to go somewhere. There's also no pizza delivary missions.

I could basically keep going on about how different they are from each other, but that's not really the point. The gameplay was still pretty fun, especially playing with thw black suit on. The black suit makes you far more powerful then you usually are, which is a good advantage for boss battles.

Over-all, I'd have to give it 2/5 stars. They could've made the game a lot better, but they missed out. Maybe the Xbox 360 version is better, but the PS2 version pretty much sucks. Oh well..
