Before you were able to get a shoe that was a trademark like mut coins madden 22 the Nike Air Bo Turf, in 1990, you were the headliner of by wearing the Nike Air Trainer 3, which became the name of your shoe. What memories do you have concerning this shoe? Air Trainer 3?

Well, I'll put it this way. In 1969 as I was in the first grade of my life in rural Alabama, during the winter, it was between 30 and 40 degrees out. And I was required to go to school barefoot. Shoes were not allowed. This isn't for an apology or a sad story. However, I do remember my brother being just a few blocks away from my home. I'm at the front door. Our sister was just a few blocks from my younger brother and my other sister was waiting at the stop for buses. My sister who was at the bus stop saw the bus go up the hill just a few miles away from her, she'd yell to my other sister, who would yell at my brother, and then my brother would yell at me. Then I'd take off out of the door in bare feet. And by the time my brother came to my sister's house, I would've caught him already. The moment we got close to our bus stop, I'm about 15 yards ahead of my sister and brother. From going to school barefoot in the winter of '69 to growing older and wearing my own sneaker that was inspired by my own ... I felt fortunate.

After some 30 odd years, some people still boast about that shoe and collect that shoe. In the last few weeks an old friend my own, Anthony Anderson, the comedian, texted me, "Hey Bo! I'm doing a show about everything I wear in my shoes. I'm not able to find those Air Shoes. I'm looking for a pair in your sneakers! It just so happened I had a pair sitting inside my workplace. I said, 'Hey, I've got an item here. I'll send them to you.' It's moments like these that I can sit in my seat and think, "Wow.'

In this NFL season, New York Giants running back and Nike player Saquon Barkley received his own version of the Air Trainer 3. How did it feel to see him pay homage to you via the sneaker?

I gifted him with these shoes. It was as if I said"Grasshopper, it's your opportunity to carry this torch. It's your responsibility to take it seriously. I am sure that he will do a good job of it. Saquon is a nice kid. He reminds me a bit of me. He's strong and has his head straight. That's what impresses me most. It's not the stats. I like the way he conducts himself.

There will always be one Bo Jackson. However, when you look back on all the NFL running backs who've followed you, which ones bring you back to your own?

I can only think of two -The two I can think of are Saquon as well as Derrick Henry -- on the strength, power, and brute force and ability to maneuver through the field and defend. They don't have the speed I did. But they have made things work. They're very efficient at what they do. And buy Madden nfl 22 coins that's why they're seen as being among the top running backs in the game right now.
