Always look on the bright side of life
I was born with absolutely no sense of humor. I remember my neighbour always telling me she is going to buy a sense of humor in a small bottle that I will have to drink every day. Its not that I'm a dull, boring person, I just don't laugh at jokes when others do. I am actually a very optimistic, happy person and pretty hyper, but when it gets to entertainment I am pretty picky. I never laugh just for the sake of it, and I never find things funny just because others do or just because I am supposed to. Its not as if I don't understand the jokes, actually I think of my talent to understand those perverted, two-sided jokes a bit of a curse, but I just analyze them to much. I cant tell jokes and I pretty much don't laugh at them. But you know those Whats brown and sticky? A stick jokes? I actually find that 7-year-old humor the funniest ever. Quite weird because I hated Seinfeld. Something thats supposed to be very, very funny I find boring and stupid xD Oh well, I have never liked American sit-coms and their comedy anyways. Although I can throw a funny remark once in a while it is all because I taught myself how too. Better said something else did. British humor. Oh, I owe it so much. In cloudy days, that is the only thing that can make me happy. It has been there for me for a very long time. One of the reasons that summer is my favourite holiday is because Croatian television has always aired the best bits of British comedy in that very same season. I remember being 5 and laughing to delights of Only Fools and Horses and Blackadder. Those two are the first to introduce me into a wonderful world where everything was amusing. Another thing that had brighten my life was You Rang M'lord?, one of my dads favourites. I quite enjoyed watching those episodes with him and finally laughing with someone. Of course, I didn't understand everything, but since there were re-runs every summer I practically grew up with it and laughed more and more every time. I probably haven't seen the half of it since I am just a Croat who can only rely on summer re-runs, YouTube and British Council, but I have made a collection of my favourites such as Blackadder, Only Fools and Horses, Vicar of Dibley, Fawlty Towers, One Foot in the Grave, Jeeves & Wooster, A bit of Fry and Laurie, 2.4 Children, The Thin Blue Line, Mr. Bean [though he could be annoying at times], Absolute Power and many more. Right now I am enjoying Eddie Izzard, QI [only on YouTube sadly], and I have gotten all Blackadder episodes and all the DVDs from Monty Phyton's Personal Best series. So this summer is going to be even merrier than before. I think the comedian who has influenced me the most is Stephen Fry, he means the world to me, but now praising him would make this text longer and even more boring than it is... Whoops, 'Allo, 'Allo! is on, I must go....
:con: British Humour is rad.

I come from a country that has British colonial origins so the British humour is natural to me. I absolutely love British humour because it is funny, there is no moral message, it is just a laugh. American sitcoms on the other hand always have to have a moral to the story that just takes away the humour. I always feel I am being lectured to in some way. And quite frankly American humour is often not that funny. Just watch an episode of America's Funniest Home Video, sorry but most of that is just plain boring.
If you can, track down episodes of a shows called Steptoe And Son, Some Mother's Do 'Ave "Em and It Ain't Half Hot Mum. I highly recommend them although they are getting on a bit. But I suspect you will enjoy them immensely. On The Buses is another early British comedy series, but not quite as funny in my opinion.
