Little Girl

How much would you give to be that little girl again? The one who didn’t know anything about what lie out in the real world, who still believed that boys had cooties, that school was fun, and parents actually knew everything. Where you didn’t doubt anything because magic existed and sadness only came from a bruise on your knee.
Where your biggest worry was what colors to use in your coloring book.
No fear or hunger existed because everyone was happy. That boy who you sat by in class was just your friend, and no one doubted that. You were afraid to step into the dark because you thought that the boogie man was real and that monsters could perhaps eat you.
Where friends didn’t backstab you, parents didn’t lie to you, and the love didn’t betray you. How nice would it be never match your clothes and wear the silliest hats out in public all day long? To take naps in the middle of the day…
Other kids didn’t make fun of you unless you ate paste, but besides that they didn’t pressure you to take drugs or have sex. You still thought kissing was icky.
How simpler would life be if we all just stayed a mere 4-year-old, with noting on our minds but how many Oreo cookies to eat for lunch.
No pain. No fear. No regrets. No tears.
Amazing blog!!(:

It seems like childhood was the best thing ever, right?
But I can't help to think: this is just what you remember, because you filtered all those bad things away.
Ignorance is bliss, but we weren't totally ignorant when we were small, were we now?
Ofcourse when you were three, you didn't think about the effects of wars, global warming and how vicious people can be.
I bet life wasn't all smiles and colouring books when you were 3 years old, though.

I wish I was sometimes.
Yet working with 2-4 year old all summer makes me realize how much things have changed. There were these two 3 year olds who didn't like the 3rd girl in their group of friends. One day the two of them were sitting on a bench and there was room for about two more kids. The other friend comes over and says "can I sit next to you?" The other two girls spread their legs apart and one says "sorry, no room. you can sit over there, across the room." I saw that and was surpirsed about how mean 3 year olds have become. The other little girl started crying, it was very sad. I told her to get some new friends.

I would never want to be a little kid again.
Because, my father used to beat the sh*t out of my Mom.
I'm glad they are divorced, now.
But, this is an [i[amazing[/i] Blog!

Amazing blog.
I wish I was a little kid again. It seems like at that time, nothing mattered. I was always so happy.
I wonder what happened.
