Parents v.s The Internet
okay this is my first blog so dont yell at me if u sont like it k =)
i think that parents are WAY to concerned about what there kids are doing on the internet.i think that the internet is a really good way to keep in touch with people that live far away! i bet almost every teenager on myspace does it behind there parents back because there parents dont trust them or the think its unsafe.i think that parents should let there child(s) experiment with myspace nd if they get in trouble or what not then they have a right to say no.i mean nobody talks on the phone anyomre! its basically allways aim or myspace ur what not. i just belive that parents should not say no to myspace or aim unless they have gotten in trouble on it or what ever. they should really let there kids experiment nd if they get in trouble then take it away.
please comment

Just because you've earnt your parents trust that really, tbh doesn't mean jack.
You could still have something happen to you, god forbid it does. I wouldn't wish rape on my enemies.
I have my parents trust, but they think because I'm 15, Im open minded of course it's gonna happen to me. Parents can never really trust their own children. I have my parenst trust. I'm not allowed to download ANYTHING before asking my brother.
And he can check up on what sites I've been on from time to time, I have a computer in my room, It's a privledge, not a right.
Too many kids are using it as a right, not a priveledge, And when you lose it, you can go back and look at how used it. for all the wrong reasons.
I know this computer can easily be taken off me, I know i can easily never be allowed on msn ever again.
And you say experimenting on the net. Isnt that just as dangerous as "experimenting" with drugs? It can have either a positive or negative outcome.
Same deal with the net.

I don't think its the whole issue of what their kids do, its who else could be on the internet. People who pry on youngsters, look at how many children each year meet someone off the internet and is iether killed or raped.

I don't think they are way concerned. I can do pretty much everything on the Internet cause I earned my parents trust.

Myspace is a bad thing, at least for some people. Parents have to decide if they wanna run the risk, and I think its entirel up to the parent. They've had a lot more experience with how life works.
What happens if a kid is just 'experimenting' and something happens? Sometimes you don't have a chance after the mistake has been made.
And you should use the 'shift' button more often.

I talk on the phone, and I mail people. Yes, through Snail Mail.
but then again yes, I can say I overly use the internet.
And I have a myspace, and my parents don't know because of the reports on the news. Saying Myspace is bad and having it means your sl*t who wants attention about 543729807043 friends.
I have a myspace.
I'm not a sl*t.
I don't have 543820843209 friends.
And My profile is on private. No-one can see it unless they add me, and even then I only add people I know. I know when and when not give out my details on the internet. It's just Parents thinks that because someone else kid has done it the bad way, they think their own child is going too.
They don't realise how Safe I am. They don't realise how precautious I am on the internet. Because you never know who's on the other side of that computer.
