5 years ago today Bill died.
5 years ago today my dads best friend died in the other room from cancer. It was around 6:30 I believe. I was in 3rd grade andsitting at the co ffee table on the floor doing my homework. My dad went out in the garage to get a thign to check his heart beat with. My dad basically pronounced him dead. I think. My mom sat in there holding his hand playing a song. She told him he wouldn't die alone. I sat in there for a little bit with him. When he died she kissed his forehead and closed his eyelids in respect to him.
He left us with some of his stuff so his greedy family couldn't take it. He gave me his favorite flag blanket. He knew what would happen but atleast he can't suffer. He left us his truck also. We had to sell it though but we knew he would understand we needed the money.
5 years sounds like a long time but feels so little.
