A How To Blog On: Hair Part:1 Hair Care, Tips and Products.

As you know, I'm hair mad. I spend hundreds on my mop and will probably spend plenty more. Hair compliments make my day, it's what I pride most about myself because I can change it whenever I feel.

This blog with have 2 or 3 parts, so stay tuned!

Products and picking the right ones:

We're going to be going through everything here that is labled and much more.

Shampoo for You!: First, pick a shampoo designed for your hair colour. I use NAK shampoo for blondes. If you're blonde, definatly pick a shampoo for blondes. ALWAYS check that the colour of the shampoo is a dark purple or a blue colour, this prevents your hair from having that horrible orange or yellow brassy look. Find the conditioner that matches the shampoo.
If you have brown hair, do the same. Shampoo for brunettes adds lots of shine to your hair because when your hair is brown, it can sometimes look dull. It also adds that gorgeous auburn sheen too it.
Shampoo designed for redheads does the same as brunnette shampoo, but especially for redheads!
If you have dry hair, look for a moisture lock shamp and cond. Shampoo that says to prevent colour fade doesn't really make a difference.
Leave your Shampoo in for about a minute and your Conditioner for about 4 minutes.

Leave in Protectants: If you straighten your hair alot, PLEASSEE buy a heat protectant, they're widely avaliable from salons. I suggest NAK Heat Beat ( Aussie made, Aussie owned!) just spray it on and straighten or curl away!
Leave in conditioners are the next best thing, apply a coin sized amount to your hair and brush it through with your FINGERS. Then blowdry your hair etc.

Gels, sprays and waxes: A good hairspray is the way to go, I use Masterpiece by BEDHEAD. I works a treat and smells like Jelly Beans! You don't want your hair smelling of acohol, do you? Waxes and Gel are used mainly for that scruffy just wokeup/ surfy look (Which is really good for summer). Put a small amount of wax or gel on your fingers and mess up all your hair if that's what you're after.
If you've got naturally wavy/curly look put mousse on your hand and scrunch your hair when it's wet, then continue scrucnhing with your head up-side down while blow-drying. If defines your curls and makes them look shiny.

Tips!:
When you straighten your hair do it in layers, clip up the top of your hair, straighten the bottom layer and continue by gradually letting each layer down.

If you're going to use a heated tool on your hair, blow dry your hair first, don't let it dry naturally. It won't get as oily and will straighten.

When I do my hair, I always listen to music, it seems to get done quicker. I like to dance a little while I'm straightening. Besides, don't make your hair a chore, make it fun!
