Global Warming!
_ As you may be aware, Global Warming is a very serious issue. But there are some things the press don't reveal. In this blog, you will discover new ways to save energy, gas, and money - as well as the planet.
_ In "The Simpsons Movie," many of the citizens in Springfield ignore the primary source of the environmental decay; polution. This is all too similar to our situation all around the world; people hear the effects of Global Warming, but they don't take them seriously. I don't like to pick on people, but it seems to me that everyone is too busy in their fairytale of a life. Not saying that focusing on the positive is bad, everyone just needs too look at the negative once in a while.
_ In order to reach people through this article, I have taken a sad turn to fact. Remember your favorite animal at the zoo? The elephants, the tigers - the polar bears? Make sure to remember them, they are expected to become extincted if the polar ice caps continue to melt. If you want to learn how you can help slow Global Warming, read my tips below.
_ The most popular way to save energy is to transfer your source of transportation; go from car to bike or bus. Or, get some exercise by walking (not the safest, but it is your decision). By taking the bus, you save gas, because a bus can hold multiple passengers, rather than each individual drive their own car.
_ The second tip is to use energy efficient lightbulbs. They can be found at any general store, and are often used as replacements for the regular energy consuming lightbulbs we are used to.
_ Recycling is a great way to use less natural resources, like paper. Everything we use is recyclable - theres no reason to just dump it in the trash. Like leftovers from previoius dinners; theres nothing wrong with the food, you can still eat it. Trashing valuable items is one cause contributing to Global Warming; trash at dumps is polution, filling the open air with waste. Imagine breathing in air from someone's trash!

Yes... I need to do that... I spend TOO much on heating =P

Another good way is not leaving on appliances when they're not in use, like your computer. And energy-efficient ones, too. Ooh, also make sure your house is somewhat air-tight in a sense, to save money on heating bills.

The Simpsons Movie rules :)
Thanks for the contribution, Pure Idiocy :D I had forgotten about methane, bleh.

One of the biggest threats comes from methane, with two big factors being bovine belching and rubbish dumps. Here in NZ scientists have found a bacteria in a geothermal region that apparently eats or at least neutralises methane, so if the bacteria can somehow be deveoped to lower levels of bovine methane emissions and those methane emissions from rubbish dumpsthat will help out all those countries around the world where these concerns are high.
I already recycle as much as I can, and use energy efficient light bulbs where possible.
