Accepted

Accepted (2006)
Starring Justin Long, Blake Lively
PG-13 for language, sexual material, and drug content

Okay, so this may be just another teen movie. It may be a light, only somewhat funny film about mindless teens. But you know what? I enjoyed this film very much.

Accepted is a story about B, a young man who's fresh out of high school, and has found himself rejected from every college he applied to. With a little scheming and a lot of work, he and a few of his high school buddies create a fake college, South Harmon Institute of Technology, to fool their parents into thinking they were off to get their degree. But when B and friends find 300 wannabe college students on the front lawn of the fake school, they realize they may be in over their heads.

This film requires no thinking whatsoever. To me, that's what made it so enjoyable. If you're looking for a light-hearted, relaxing film to watch on a Sunday night, this is the film for you. And although it's labeled "Teen Movie", it manages to have no sex, very little crude humor, and a decent storyline.

This may not be the film for you if you are looking for a film that will leave you on the edge of your seat. But if you just want to have fun...Accepted takes you on an enjoyable ride.
