Let me start off by saying this: there are no Green Day songs in this game. Which stinks. However, this game is so amazingly unique from any other game I've played, I'm willing to look past the fact that my favorite band was not included.
Guitar Hero has a simple concept. Green, Red, Yellow, Blue, and Orange dots come across the screen. Simultaneously, the player must hit the keys on their guitar controller in the order they come down the screen. When you hit the keys correctly, you get a beautiful sounding song, and the feeling of a rock and roll god. When you hit the keys incorrectly, it sounds, well, not so good.
The player can choose from several different characters to use in the game, both male and female. There are also many different guitars and guitar finishes you can buy in the game's store, once you earned some cash from rocking it out. I'd just like to mention, there is a guitar finish for the Les Paul Junior called "Billie Joe". Just thought you'd want to know.
Over 70 songs are included in this game, ranging from Aerosmith to Muse, The Killers to ZZ Top. With a good mix of both new and old songs, this game is sure to be fun for all ages.
Maybe you can't be a rockstar for real... but this game certainly makes you feel like one.

i am hopefully getting "Guitar Hero" for my birthday. I can't afford 3 yet so 1 it is but from your description of 3 it sounds an ace game which ever number!
