Obesity: My Views
I bet anyone who is going to read this is going to think oh no, here he goes again with his blogs, but I want to share something with everyone. I don't think anyone is obese.
Let me explain first before people try to create situations...
The goverment is constantly reminding us of obesity, you eat to much fat/food you'll end up the size of a bus. You eat too little your anorexic or have an eating disorder.
But what is obese?
A few pounds over the ideal weight, a few stone over it? Iether way the goverment can't say anything because most of them too are "obese" and preaching to others about it. Telling people what to eat, how much of it to eat and then telling them their society is a democracy. But how can it be free when there is fat men with pieces of paper watching our every move.
Gordon Brown has stated that he wants to encourage a policy. A policy that conflicts peoples health and even with life in some cirucumstances. If his policy comes through which I hope in general it doesn't, he could end up killing people and I think that makes him a modern day Hitler. Anyway, his policy is that overweight people and smokers don't have the right to the NHS. Yes, smokers destroy their bodies by smoking, but Gordon Brown also smokes. He wants overweight people to have to pay for their health problems, operations, appointments (etc) he too is overweight if you hadn't noticed.
So why the sudden descrimination, he wants the level of obesity and smoking down so he gets a pat on the back. He doesn't really care about people, if obesity and smoking was that bad he would order a conjunction on all supermarkets and every other kind of shop that sells junk food and stop producing fags. But guess what?
They won't! They'll loose too much money out of it, that's why they want double the money coming from these people who have problems.Just because someone is overweight doesn't mean they eat too much, they could have metabolism problems is that excluded or included.
All I can say is that in this very short para, I'm sickened because not everyone has the money to buy healthy organic food, who struggle to make ends meet and are maybe disabled and that is why they are the size that they are. But personall, Gordon Brown and the goverment should look a little closer to home before they dicated who deserves medical attention.

Hey, I say I'd rather be fat and happy than kill myself over a diet.

Haha thanks, fudge is good even better when it's made with whisky.

lol. I know where Scotland is.
I got fudge there before. It came in a plaid box and when you lift the flap there's a ginger bloke beneath it. T'was nice.
Oh and by the way, nice taste in music, I must say.

Nah I'm front scotland, just across the water and up a wee bit.
schooldropout, March 1st, 2008 at 03:02:08pm
Oh your not.
Where are you from then?
I was pretty sure England was in someway connected to the Irish trait concerning Government.
Mike N Tre Erections, March 1st, 2008 at 02:57:49pm
Yeah I know what you mean, I'm not in England because it's a bastards country and I don't mean that to offend anyone.
schooldropout, March 1st, 2008 at 02:54:37pm
We should have coffee together.
You share my views on some level. Both my parents are involved in political parties, something I've always been annoyed with, but i do get all tge political info.
Here in Ireland, they keep the rich, rich and they keep the poor - not poor, but they keep our heads just above the water. You'll never starve in Ireland. I'm not too sure of the situation in England .

I'm just making a point, If Gordon Brown has his way that's what will happen. But you won't see him or anyone he knows or related to paying for it themselves.
schooldropout, March 1st, 2008 at 02:36:31pm
You missed my point completley.
If somebody has a problem that increases their want for food, that may, in some cases, not be helped.
What I'm saying is that If a person does not have a problem, and they can be helped, they should be helped. These matters need to be stressed. It is understandable that on the outside, it may not appear that people want help, but deep down, there is an instinct within that wants to take control and change.
And who's saying they don't like heavy people?
Mike N Tre Erections, March 1st, 2008 at 02:13:09pm
What if someone has an eating disorder? Thing's that can't be helped, if the person doesn't want to change they shouldn't have to. That's like saying to someone thats gay, you change cos we don't like it.
schooldropout, March 1st, 2008 at 12:58:19pm
That isn't how it is here. Hate to break it to you.
schooldropout, March 1st, 2008 at 11:17:29am
Why should it matter what size someone is unless it's directly affecting you.
Because I am concerned for the person. I wouldn't sita nd watch someone eat themselves to death - not if I could prevent it.
The question is, How do we prevent it?
Why shouldn't someone hate the goverment? they have social workers who take kids off young mums because they think they can't cope even though they can
How do you know they can? I'm aiming to become a social worker and if, in my career, I found that a mother was not within a suitable enviorment to care for a child, i would take that child for it's safety.
they put up the taxes
The government putting up taxes can be a pain, I do know our government is having murder at the moment because of taxes, I have yet to look into it.
they stop benefits and force people who are sick to get a job.
They don't always stop benefits, they try.
And as for forcing people to work, they don't. My father is very ll and they have a weekly income for my family to support them while he is out of work.
The government is a funny crowd of people. Sometimes they can do wonders, other times, they can be a pain in the arse.

I used to be like a beached whale and I lost all the weight through drink and drugs, biggest mistake of my life and you know. A lot of people judge others on their size, telling them what's the perfect healthy weight when the people who preach are no better.
